What are some custom car and hot rod building schools in las vegas? NOT the collision repair stuff.?
I want to work at some of the fabulous Custom hot rod and car places in las vegas, but i need some education and training first, what are some school available in or around las vegas, Nevada???

I don't know that there are specifically any "schools" for this, as it's such a specialized trade. You will need to know all the body shop basics, but to get hired by a place like this, you will also need to show some creative ability and problem solving skills. A good way would be to get some experience at a conventional body shop, while building your own custom car and documenting the process. You have to understand that this is a VERY competitive field and there are not a lot of openings for car customizers. If you can show that you have both skill and creativity, you may be able to talk your way into a shop at some point. The alternative is to start at the bottom and work your way up, which is a long and frustrating process. Some of these vehicles represent investments of 100 grand or more, and they're not going to let just anybody work on them.

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am 12 years old and recently home schooled. Im in 7th grade and next school year I want to go to private school so then ill be in 8th grade. I just can't find a private school! Can you help me find one please? One thats good and doesn't give a lot of homework and doesn't have a lot of tests/quizzes lol. Help please! Serena

Most private schools have lots of work and tests, especially once you get into high school! It may be a shock to you at first, but it really helps for real life, and there are not any *developmental* colleges. (Developmental is the type of school that doesn't do many tests or have real grades, etc.) I know kids who were in developmental schools since K, then started a school with a very rigorous curriculum in junior high. It was tough at first, but by the second half of 7th they were doing much better. If you have learning disabilities, then you want to look for a school that specializes in helping kids with LDs, and there are also some colleges out there. Montessori Visions might be the closest to what you're looking for. http://www.montessorivisions.com/our_school.html There are very few kids in 8th grade, for most kids I wouldn't consider that a good thing, but since your transitioning from homeschool, it might be ideal for you. For high school, a Catholic or Christian school might be a good bet. They tend to be a bit easier than non-religious private schools, but still a very good education. Many take a good percentage of non-Catholics/Christians. My son has many friends attending Catholic schools who aren't Catholic but really like it, and the religion classes are just one more subject, they're not trying to convert anyone. It hasn't made the list of "Homeschool Friendly Schools" but don't let that discourage you. It just might mean no one has added it. Most schools even the Ivy Leagues have learned that homeschoolers are an asset and actively recruit them. Go for it if that is your school of choice.

i would like to know if this is a good school & if you go there do you like it? im going there next year & i heard its one of the worst in vegas & high in gang fights & stds, is this true? but i heard also that its a good school so im confused & would like to hear the TRUTH, hopefully, from someone who goes there. if you go there please give me some info on the people (which im mostly concerned of) & if its a safe enjoyable school. as much info as possible i would love to hear it all! thanks(:

I have been working as a cook in fine dining,coffee shop,and small casinos as a line cook.I want to upgrade my experience and I am concidering attending a school maybe le corden bleu,culinary arts at southern community college of nevada or culinary training academy with nevada parnters connected with jobconnect(Unemployment Office)but I cant seem to find reviews at any of these schools so I can make the right direction in this field.Has anybody or does go to these schools and what they offered thank you for your time reading my questions.

Le Cordon Bleu school in Las Vegas has two reviews on Yelp and both are very negative. Both reviewers implied that you can get a similar education for much less money at the College of Southern Nevada which has a culinary program in its hospitality department.
